Baby Angel Progress- Week 28
As you can see… We forgot our good camera when we went to Disneyland so we had to resort to our not-so-good point and shoot thats ancient. Bummer, but you get the picture. This was towards the end of our long day (I look completely exhausted…) 7 months pregnant and walked Disneyland and California Adventure in flip flops and lived to tell the tale! Some how my feet didn’t even hurt until we were walking to the car…I’d say I’m a bit of a trooper haha
How far along? 28 Weeks starting on September 23rd, 2015
Total weight gain/loss: yep, skipping it again… its to late in the day to weigh myself…
Maternity clothes? Yes, I actually this week got some maternity leggings and beautiful coverups.
Stretch marks? Yes, and I think I’m getting new ones on my hip but we will see in a few weeks what they become…
Sleep: What’s sleep?
Best moment this week: Oh, I have so many this week!
This week we got to have a baby dr. appointment and we got to hear baby girls heart beat. Dr. says that her heart sounds great!!! It’s always comforting to hear her heart sounds healthy and happy!
We had our baby shower! It was a lot of hard work on mine and my husbands part BUT it was so worth it and all the hard work paid off. It turned out SO amazing! I’ll post a photo here but I will be making a new blog post on just our baby shower!
Theres your tiny sneak peek… the theme was boho so very rich colors…none of those super babyish colors….
Another best moment of the week was my husband and I went to Disneyland and California Adventure for the last time before the baby arrives. It was definitely the most bittersweet trips to the happiest place on earth we have ever experienced in so many ways. Disneyland holds a very special place in my heart so my husband and I frequent there often and its bittersweet that our trips will never be the same again.
Not only that but we also experienced 2 of our favorite things that will soon (Starting in January 2016) be gone forever. We went to California Adventure first and watched Aladdin the Musical. My husband and I are so upset that they are taking out our most favorite show ever and replacing it with a Frozen (BLAH!) show! It is my husbands main reason for even going to the parks! A few times during the show I teared up thinking about how it is our time watching it EVER and at the end i was in tears. The show is truly amazing and if you haven’t seen it then go see it! It will be gone forever in January!
From California Adventure we went to Disneyland and went to our next favorite spot that will soon be shutting down. We ate at the Big Thunder Ranch all you can eat BBQ! Holy Moly the food is SO amazing, I can’t believe they are closing it down forever as well. We chowed down, ate SO much and loved every single bite.
This isn’t a “Best” moment of the week, but one I wanted to make note of. One of my good friends Jeff Franks passed away unexpectedly on Saturday. He was found by his mother and are waiting to find out what happened. It’s crazy because I just talked to him a few days before he passed away. He actually passed away the morning of our baby shower but I found out the next day (The day we went to Disneyland). I find comfort knowing he is now with his Dad who passed away a few years ago. Jeff passed way to soon and it still feels so unreal. Rest in Peace and Love dear friend, you will be greatly missed by many. He will always have a special place in my heart.
On a lighter note, I made the BEST homemade cinnamon rolls from scratch his week. I really wanted cinnamon rolls but hubby suggested I make my own instead of buying those canned pillsbury ones so I took the leap and make my own. They turned out AMAZING. I mean, I even shocked myself with how delicious they were. Soft, sweet, and just so so yummy.
After making the dough, making the filling, rolling and slicing I placed them in a pie dish to let the dough rise. the photo on the left is fresh off the cutting board, the photo on the right is after letting the dough rise for about an hour or so…
I then patiently let them bake in the oven, drizzled my homemade icing over them and BAM! Delicious amazing breakfast!
Now, don’t get me wrong the photo looks delicious but if you could only smell the yummy sweet cinnamon aroma through out our house and taste how delicious they were…so yummy! I’ll be posting a blog post with the recipe soon! I originally found the recipe off of Pinterest but i ended up changing it to make it more my own.
Labor Signs: None, and dreading the day that they start….
Symptoms: Same old symptoms as before, except this week my back has been killing me more and sleep has been terrible…
Belly Button in or out? Ah, I’ve been waiting for this question. It’s almost out and its so weird/crazy!!!
Wedding rings on or off? Off
Happy or Moody most of the time: Hmm… I have been pretty sleep deprived but I’d say still pretty happy
Looking forward to:
